Windows Vista & CD/DVD Drives
Vista the new windows system, dynamic and full of surprisses! After working with it for a week and before I downloaded Service Pack 1, my CD/DVD failed.
The computer didnot recognise the cd or dvd drives anymore. Why I don't know.
But after many hours of tearing of hair serching through help forums I came up with a solution. Now it worked immediatly on my computer and I'm over the moon.
I take no responsibility for anyone or any other computer.
But if you have got to the end of the road try this!
1. Set a Restore Point in case it doesn't work.
2. Follow this list exactly and at the end Delete.
Click on the Windows Logo in the task bar and go to:
SEARCH
regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Then:
on the right you see a number of red square-like - logo's....
And
"ab"
lower-filter clock - DELETE
Then:
Re-Start
